Ziemniaki i Foundation is a library and cultural foundation and a member of the Reset Network (Co-funded by the European Union) and Trans Europe Halles (a network of grassroots cultural centres in over 40 countries across Europe and beyond). Initiative supported by the Europe Challenge and the European Cultural Foundation.

  • Selected out of a total of 42 applications from 8 different countries to serve on 5-person Eco-Steering Committee, guiding the foundation’s long-term sustainability strategy across ecological, financial, social, ethical, and labor dimensions.

  • Co-develop a publicly shareable sustainability roadmap addressing environmental responsibility, ethical collaboration, accessibility, care infrastructures, and regenerative practices within an arts and cultural institution.

January 2025-Ongoing | U-WOMAN Creative Europe funded “Ukranian Woman” Project - Cultural Cooperation Community

The “Ukrainian Woman” (U-Woman) is a 36-month project of 2 Ukrainian and 5 EU and EEA-based culture, art, digital creation and impact organizations, 

  • Advise and contribute to the “Ukrainian Woman” (U-Woman) Project, a 36-month project of 2 Ukrainian and 5 EU and EEA-based culture, art, digital creation and impact organizations (Institute of Public Diplomacy, ECWT, Ukrainian Creative Forces, The Impact Lab, Connecting Talents, The Critical, UAB, Galicia Jewish Museum), committed to supporting Ukraine by using culture and creative tools to discuss, explore, and present various war-related narratives and demonstrate resilience and strength through the lens of and with the focus on Ukrainian women.

  • Co-create and co-implement the program for the U-Woman Project Kickoff Meeting in February 2025, with all partner organizations in attendance, including designing and delivering a collaborative artistic program in cooperation with several partner individuals and entities.

  • Support the Poland-based team at the “Common Future” Summit in Poznan, Poland to promote the U-Woman Project and to explore further partnership opportunities. The Summit brought together representatives of business, public administration, local government, and social organizations from Poland, Ukraine, and other European countries to build lasting relationships, support the reconstruction of Ukraine, and promote regional development based on partnership, knowledge, and mutual trust. 

  • Serve as a panelist in a U-Woman Project panel discussion at the European Parliament in Brussels on “Ukrainian Woman: Cultural Resilience and European Futures”, bridging cultural, equity, and policy discussions on resilience, integration, and European futures. Organized by Ukrainian Institute of Public Diplomacy (Ukraine) in partnership with the Mission of Ukraine to the EU. The gathering brought together EU officials, cultural leaders, artists, and representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora to explore culture as a tool of resilience, integration, and recovery, with speakers Vsevolod Chentsov (Head of the Mission of Ukraine to the EU), Georg Hauesler (Director for Culture, Creativity and Sport, European Commission), Olena Prokopenko (Chair of the Board, Institute of Public Diplomacy (Ukraine), Judith Videcoq (Head of the Creative Europe Unit), Mykola Ulianov (Head of the Creative Europe Desk Ukraine), Ihor Khokholiak (Head of the Association of Ukrainians in Belgium), Joanna Pottle (Visual Artist and Community Manager, Humanity in Action), and Yuliia Kravchenko (Ukrainian Diaspora, Netherlands). Community Engagement Manager | Remote between Europe and the United States

An international nonprofit leadership development organization offering transformative educational programs rooted in cross-cultural dialogue.

  • Selected to co-create and scale inaugural Community Engagement Manager role. Lead community programming and outreach for a global alumni network of 3,000+ members, working across six offices in the US (New York, New York, USA) & Europe (Amsterdam, Netherlands; Berlin, Germany; Copenhagen, Denmark; Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina; Warsaw, Poland) under the international HIA Inc. umbrella organization. 

  • Partner on grant and fundraising strategies with both HIA Inc. and national offices in Europe and the US in developing compelling proposals and securing funding. 

  • Design and launch the Senior Fellow Assembly, a new leadership body with approximately 20 alumni ensuring representation across countries and programs, participatory governance, and engagement across 3 committees led by 2 Co-Chairs.

  • Organize Humanity in Action’s first international network-wide cohort reunions over 2 distinct convenings (held in September 2024), connecting intergenerational 500+ alumni across over 100 cohorts from over 25 years of fellowships through inclusive, interactive programming. This includes an all-alumni public program with 4 alumni speakers (Aisha Fukushima, Alok Vaid-Menon, Marietje Schaake, and Laura Westring) followed by individual cohort gatherings, in coordination with 80+ alumni volunteers and 10+ team members across 6 offices.   • Design, prototype and facilitate HIA Inc’s first ever alumni digital and hybrid programming and projects across over 15+ distinct offerings (webinars, panels, open calls, focus groups, brainstorming labs) on topics ranging from leadership development, networking, democracy, migration, tech, peacebuilding, media literacy, and civic engagement, and more, prioritizing meaningful interaction and peer learning. 

  • Design and implement a Call for Contributions: UN Summit of the Future 2024 for critical perspectives, commentaries, and insights around the Summit. Create and lead a review committee of over 6 readers across team members, Board members, and alumni to review over 20 submissions to select 4 prize-winning contributions and 4 honorary mentions.

  • Launch Dinner Dialogues, an international in-person community building initiative engaging 100+ alumni across 15+ cities worldwide through shared meals and intentional conversations on timely, relevant issues, fostering learning, reflection, and community support. Developed “Inspirations for Peaceful Dining” guide providing tips and recommendations across non-violent communication best practices and facilitation tools. Prototyped in November 2023, launched as an offering in 2024-2025.

  • Conceptualize, design, and produce a regular impact report, “Senior Fellows: Making a Difference,” for Humanity in Action’s donors, partners, Inc. Board, and community. With approximately 10 editions and counting, the report highlights individual Senior Fellows’ professional achievements, fellowship impact, and includes curated “Community Highlights” with hyperlinks to notable projects and updates from alumni globally.

  • Create and/or manage 5 community platforms and CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Superhive, LinkedIn, Mailchimp) to enhance connectivity and engagement. Work closely with Communications colleagues on social media promotion of alumni activities and offerings and Operations colleagues on systems oversight.

  • Support 2 phases executive leadership transitions and strategic planning: from Founder/Executive Director to Interim Executive Director (July 2023-March 2025) and from Interim Director (from April 2025-ongoing) to new permanent Executive Director. This includes the development and execution of strategic plans, including focus groups, surveying over 150+ alumni worldwide, supporting grant proposal development, liaising between stakeholders across HIA Inc staff, Board members, and alumni.

Freelance Writer and Editor | Remote

Contemporary Lynx is an international and independent publication for art, design, collecting and photography on visual culture, with particular focus on contemporary Central and Eastern European art and culture, since 2013.

  • From 2022, provide editorial support and original writing for an international, digital-first art magazine focused on contemporary art and culture. From 2023, contribute to both print and online platforms reaching global audiences as a freelance writer, writing over a dozen (12) distinct published pieces and counting.

  • Write and edit articles under tight deadlines, including exhibition and art fair reviews, artist and curator interviews, and long-form critical essays.

  • Conduct research and develop stories with accuracy, clarity, and relevance for an international readership, ensuring readability across sectors.

  • Collaborate remotely with editors and digital teams on copyediting, image selection, and publication workflows.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of image rights, licensing, and ethical publishing standards.

  • Published pieces include a wide range of coverage such as leading international events such as Art Dubai, Art Paris, Art Vilnius, as well as exhibitions in Poland at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow (MOCAK), the International Cultural Center in Krakow, and Bunkier Sztuki Gallery.

  • Essays include contributions to the Mindscapes digital series, examining intersections of art, politics, memory, war/conflict zones, ecology, and care through local/national/global perspectives.

International Educational Exchange & Programming Experience

June-November 2023 | US Exchange Alumni Grants Program: Citizen Diplomacy Action Fund (CDAF), Kraków and Warsaw, Poland

Co-Project Lead for ‘Creating Community for Ukrainian Refugees Through Art’ Community Engagement Project

  • Co-lead a grant project with Frankee Lyons which connected over 30 members local Polish, migrant, and refugee community members in Poland through art and discussion based programming, with specific care and emphasis on the growing Ukrainian community in Poland.

  • Cultivate partnership development with 6 organizational partners based in Poland and abroad as part of project implementation, with 4 guest artists/live translators, and recruited over 3 individuals for graphic design, social media, catalogue design, and translation support across English/Polish/Ukrainian. 

  • Create and implement over 5 workshops, a hybrid exhibition and panel discussion with 6 project stakeholder speakers, and a digital catalogue documenting programming alongside members of the local and international community in Poland and share with US and global audience

April, June-July 2023,  American Councils Poland/Ukraine, Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) Teacher, Warsaw, Poland

  • Participate and contribute to The Training of Teachers (ToT) alongside over 12 other teachers in Warsaw from 18-22 April led by American Councils staff.

  • Teach over a three-day PDO in Warsaw with youth from Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (over 10 students per class) to prepare program participants for their exchange experience to the US by using curricula provided by American Councils and developing materials to complement curricula.

  • Plan Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) sessions together with the local orientation team and teach students in English about American culture, values, family life, prepare them for practicalities of life in the US, teach both soft and hard skills through a cross-cultural exchange lens.

February – May 2023,  Semester Contract | ‘Mapping Memoryscapes’ Workshops Teacher with Academy of Fine Arts (ASP) in Warsaw in the Erasmus and Painting Departments, as part of Kosciuszko Foundation Grant, Warsaw, Poland 

  • Design and conduct a semester-long art course and curriculum of workshops with over 10 Polish and international youth alongside co-instructor Katie Zazenski, overseeing students creating individual and group interdisciplinary artistic projects.

  • Facilitate cross-cultural exchange and dialogue competencies, and learnings across self-developed intersectional curriculum cultural heritage, collective memory and identity, and forms of mapping across disciplines and through physical, cultural, and socio-political frameworks. 

  • Organized and oversaw course conclusion alongside Katire Zazeksi which included a group exhibition of work produced during the course at ASP Warsaw Gallery, collaboratively curated and implemented with students.

June 2022 & October 2022 | US-Polish Fulbright Commission, Project Reviewer and Orientation Volunteer

  • Serve as a Project Reviewer to assess candidates of the Fulbright Graduate Student Award 2023-2024 of Poles applying to the US.  

  • Volunteer for Warsaw Orientation for American grantees to Poland by providing presentations for Student Researchers on conducting their projects with institutional affiliates across Poland and providing “Tips for Living in Poland” training session covering cultural differences, language, cuisine, daily life practicalities and more.

May – August 2020 and 2021 | US Department of State, Global Youth Village & TechGirls, Remote Virtual Art & Culture Facilitator 

  • Create and implement an art and culture curriculum for over 30 international youth (from across the MENA region, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Central Asia, and the US) within selected larger online cultural exchange program focused on leadership development and peacebuilding with asynchronous and synchronous activities including lectures on various artistic topics including Art as Activism, Public Art, and Eco Art and facilitate art-making prompts and projects for participants.

  • Facilitate a virtual cross-cultural international creative exchange between American and Polish artists, engaging over 20 individuals and over 6 guest speakers to respond to the COVID pandemic crisis by collecting art submissions for an online exhibition, planning and executing programming including virtual artist talks, studio visits, virtual exhibition, and cross-cultural discussion panels.

  • Execute a combination of artistic and research projects, curatorial work, and educational programming with the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow (MOCAK) and the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, with a grant extension in 2021. Cooperation includes a paper publication in MOCAK Forum Magazine entitled, Rumors of War and Rainbow: A Two Case Study Investigation of “Controversial” Contemporary Public Art, an analysis of contemporary public art in Poland and the US.
